Divorce without alimony due to wife’s refusal to obey court order – Punekar News

Pune, 28 May 2022: Disobeying the court order cost a woman dearly. A man had filed a divorce petition against his wife where the court ordered to live together for a month but the wife did not follow the order.

According to the petition filed by the husband, the court granted a divorce without alimony. This order was issued by Joint Civil Judge AP Girdkar.

The couple’s names are Madhav and Madhavi (names have been changed). He has a job, while she is a housewife. The couple married in 2009. After four months of marriage, she left. For a period of four years after that, she came and went. But she did not return after 2013.

Since she was not coming back, the man sent her a notice in 2015. However, she did not come. Finally by Adv. Shivajirao Deshmukh, he filed a petition in court.

The court asked her to return and continue her married life with her husband. However, she did not appear in court. Therefore, in June 2018, the court ordered her to come and continue her married life within a month. However, she did not come. She did not comply with the order, so on January 18, 2020, her husband filed for divorce. He filed a complaint with the help of Adv. Shivajirao Deshmukh and Adv. Sai Deshmukh.

Even then, she didn’t show up. Meanwhile, the corona pandemic has affected the work of the courts and restrictions have been imposed. The court granted the couple a divorce as soon as the pandemic ended. According to the judgment, the husband will not have to pay alimony to his wife.
