Jerry Hall has reportedly asked judges to overturn the divorce petition she filed five weeks ago against Rupert Murdoch.
The notice was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court by the former model’s California attorney, Ronald Brot.
The document says the divorce should be dismissed without prejudice, meaning it can be reinstated, according to the Daily Mail.
It’s unclear why Hall, 66, filed the dismissal or whether the couple had agreed to settle out of court.
Murdoch, 91, would have had 30 days to respond to the petition, a date that had passed by the time Hall filed his dismissal request.
In June, it emerged the couple were due to separate after six years of marriage.
Last month it was reported that Murdoch was served with divorce papers at RAF Brize Norton after attending his granddaughter’s wedding nearby.
The couple had a civil ceremony before a celebration at St Bride’s Church on Fleet Street, the historic center of Britain’s newspaper industry.
In 2019 they splashed out £11.25million on a home near Henley-on-Thames. Last year, they celebrated Murdoch’s 90th birthday together in New York City at the Tavern on the Green.
Australian-born Murdoch has been married three times before. Hall married Mick Jagger in 1990, but the union was called off nine years later.
