Kim Kardashian is ready to move on from divorce from Kanye West

Kim Kardashian can’t wait to get the ball rolling on her divorce from Kanye West. A source tells We Weekly that she “hopes the divorce will be settled soon” and that she is “ready for this chapter to close for good”. Kim officially filed for divorce in February 2021, asking for joint legal and physical custody of the couple’s four children. More recently (December 2021, to be exact!), she filed a petition to be declared legally celibate and dropped “West” from her last name.

Kim’s rush to settle it and Kanye’s divorce comes amid quite a turbulent weekend for the former couple due to a misunderstanding over their daughter’s Chicago birthday party. Kanye ended up attending the event despite saying he wasn’t invited and was spotted hanging out with Kris Jenner:

A source said E! News “Kanye was never not invited to the birthday party. Kim felt like he wanted to throw his own party. She was okay with him coming to Kylie’s house and is happy the kids can see them together.” That said, “Kim and Kanye aren’t on good terms right now” even though “she’s really trying to keep the peace among themselves and for the sake of the children.”

Kim actually explained the reason for her divorce from Kanye in the last season of keeping up with the Kardashians, saying “I just think he deserves someone who will support his every move and go follow him everywhere and move to Wyoming. I can’t do that. He should have a wife who supports his every move and travel with him and do everything, and I can’t. I feel like a fucking failure. This is my third fucking marriage. Yeah, I feel like a fucking failure. loser. But I can’t even think about that. I want to be happy.”

Kanye has made it clear he wants to get back together with Kim for the past few weeks, but he’s now in a relationship with actress Julia Fox.
