Managing Director of an educational NGO – Peru

Like our General director, you will be in charge of leading the German and Peruvian Intiwawa team and coordinating the work of all administrative areas (Projects, Finance, Marketing, Fundraising, Volunteers, etc.), as well as the daily activities carried out in our community center ‘Casa Intiwawa’. You will develop an annual strategic plan with measurable goals for all administrative areas, ensuring the continued sustainability and impact of our projects to continually improve our organization. You will also be the main point of contact with local and international partners and support all Peruvian and German team coordinators and assistants in their duties. In addition, you will work on site directly with local communities in order to best adapt our projects to the specificities of the local context, working closely with the Project Manager and constantly assessing current needs together. This position is a key role in our organization, as you will be the main point of contact for the entire Intiwawa community (families and children participating in our projects, all volunteers and employees, members of the executive committee, donors, partners and collaborators).

Terms

● Excellent Spanish and English skills (German is a plus!)

● Min. 2 years of experience in performance management

● Experience in international grant applications and reporting

● Excellent attention to detail, excellent organizational and administrative skills

● Experience in financial planning, process improvement, decision making, strategic planning

● Flexibility to adapt to new environments, resourcefulness and sensitivity to cultural differences

● Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution and cross-cultural communication skills

● Confident autonomous, with a high degree of motivation and initiative

● Ability to work effectively without supervision as well as in a team

● Passionate about creativity and hard work

Details

● Commitment of at least 2 years

● The position is full-time (40 hours per week)

● Flexible and unconventional schedule

● Salary: 500 euros/month

● One round trip from the country of origin to Arequipa per year (limited to 800 euros / year)
