To relocate. Less than three months after filing for divorce, Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney are about to leave the house they shared together.
“Update…in case you were wondering…I just live among a sea of boxes,” Maloney, 35, wrote via his Instagram Stories over the weekend. “Moving in 2 days.”
Schwartz, 39, took to the app on Sunday, June 5, to post photos of his own moving boxes. The TomTom co-owner also posted a photo of the former couple’s dogs, writing ‘Children of divorce’.
The Vanderpump Rules the stars confirmed their separation on March 15, with their divorce papers revealing their separation date as February 12.
“After 12 years of adventuring through life together, Tom and I are ending our marriage,” Maloney wrote via Instagram at the time. “This ending is not met with resentment or animosity, no side to choose. We have a deep admiration for each other that will always remain and we cherish our friendship. Although we are on paths different, we will continue to love and support each other for happiness.
Schwartz noted in his statement that the “You’re Gonna Love Me” podcast host was the one who filed for divorce.
“We’ve had some of the happiest, most romantic and funniest times on earth. [sic] possible during our relationship,” he noted. “I’m talking about joy at the level of heaven on earth. She taught me a lot about love and being a better partner. I don’t consider this a failure. As sad as I am, still happy to say there is no anger or bitterness. Zero. Always so much love for you @musickillskate. And your family. I don’t think we were ever a model couple. Maybe we’re model divorcees.
The following month, the SURver alum got candid about living together when they first broke up.
“We own a house together. We are going to sell our house, but we have repairs to do. … We have to prepare it for sale,” she said on the “We Met at Acme” podcast in April. “We don’t sleep together in bed. It works, it’s peaceful.
Maloney added that the ex-spouses are determined to remain friends.
“[Tom is] not the kind of guy to get super, super jealous. I think we can really stay friends. Like, our friendship is really the core of our relationship,” she said. “That’s kind of what got us here and stuff. We have a really, really good bond. I think it would be really heartbreaking for both of us to have spent 12 years together and have this rich history with each other and then not be friends anymore. He won’t stop being friends with some of my best friends and vice versa. So, like, a lot of our lives would have to change so that we weren’t friends anymore.
The duo are set to film Season 10 of Vanderpump Rules together this summer.
