Bertinelli, 61, and Van Halen Fire first met backstage at a Van Halen concert in 1980, then walked down the aisle eight months later.

Despite what many called a rushed marriage, the former couple reportedly got along well and managed to stay together for over 20 years.

The couple finally separated in 2001 and finalized their divorce five years later.

“One of the many reasons Ed and I broke up is to give Wolfie a better view of what two people who are supposedly in love treat each other,” Bertinelli said. Oprah.

After their divorce, Bertinelli married Tom Vitale in 2011 and Van Hallen married Janie Liszewski in 2009, to whom he was married until his death.

Van Halen tragically passed away on October 6, 2020, at the age of 65, following a long battle with throat cancer that eventually moved to his brain.
